Non-Goreans in the Gorean Tavern

 

    The purpose of this article is to express the Tavern's offer to those that are not yet ascribing to a Gorean path.  These are the views of the Tavern owner, and the wishes for the atmosphere of the Tavern to be upheld by those men who visit.  This is not a means to ask you to accept this as your view, simply to understand what is my position with regards to the Tavern so that you may respectfully create this atmosphere with your leadership, while visiting the Tavern.

 

    It is important to state that I believe in the Gorean Philosophy which expresses an outline for understanding gender bias as genetic predisposition.  If I believe this, I require that I believe this across the board.  I do believe there are exceptions to the rule, however I believe it holds true for the vast majority of people on Earth.  That being the case, I can not expect someone to jump toward following what Goreans believe without adequate conversation.  I believe the Gorean community has alienated itself from too much of the world in an aggressive attempt to identify themselves.  I am more than capable, as is everyone of understanding who I am and holding conversation with those who are not comfortable with a Gorean path.  

 

    The reason for this is to attract people to stop in and hold discussion.  I agree that a large portion of those people will come and go, but it is those people of exceptional caliber and the aptitude for awareness that will hopefully add to our community.  It is a right path to present Gor, and not shun those who do not understand it.  

 

    The Gorean Tavern is a Gorean channel, and is not driven to be a haven for all D/s variants.  When people are offered enough insight to make their decision and they choose not to invest time in the path we know as Gorean Culture, then they are welcome to find their other path somewhere else.  I would ask all men to lead discussions to help raise the awareness for others, and leave the request for others to find a new channel to me personally.   You are more than welcome to pull me aside and offer some insight, especially if you have had more interaction than I might have with a person.
